IT Technician
Job Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with devices and applications.
Provide prompt and professional technical support to employees experiencing IT issues.
Maintain and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wireless networks, and internet connections.
Ensure connectivity and optimal performance of networking equipment such as routers and switches.
Perform routine system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance on IT systems.
Monitor system health and performance to ensure stability and reliability.
Enforce IT security protocols, including password policies, antivirus updates, and firewalls.
Report and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
Document troubleshooting processes and solutions for future reference.
Assist in setting up new workstations, accounts, and technology for new hires.
Decommission and recycle outdated equipment following company policies.
Educational Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Experience Requirements
1-2 years of experience in an IT support or technical role.
Additional Requirements
Familiarity with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, Wi-Fi).
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Patience and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
